Michaela Sigmundová

Lawyer and registered mediator

Michaela Sigmundová has been involved in mediation since 2013, when she passed the mediator exam at the Czech Bar Association and became a registered mediator. In 2014, she participated in a commercial mediation course at the Czech Bar Association. Mediation is carried out in civil, business, work, consumer and family conflicts or disputes with a public element.

 

In 2021, she completed the online specialization course Introduction to Intellectual Property Issues for Mediators of the Office of Industrial Property and IP Mediation Center Prague. As part of her teaching career at the Faculty of Law in Olomouc, she taught the subject Intellectual Property Law. She is a co-author of the publication International encyclopaedia of Intellectual property, Hague: Kluwer Law International, 2005, 212 pp. In addition, she regularly publishes in the professional press, lectures at conferences, and is an assistant professor at the Faculty of Law in Olomouc, where she lectures on corporate and insolvency law.

She has been practicing law since 1998. During her practice in law, she dealt with important clients from the state administration within the framework of the application of copyright law. In 2003, she completed the Doctoral study program in Theoretical Legal Sciences at the Faculty of Law of the Masaryk University in Brno in the field of civil law and received the academic title of Ph.D. Since 2018, she has been working as a lecturer at the Judicial Academy in Kroměříž, where she gives lectures on mediation, corporate law and civil law.
