Vision, goals and mission of our institute
IP Mediation Centre Prague, a registered institute, is a legal entity established pursuant to Section 402 et seq. Act No. 89/2012 Coll., Civil Code, as amended.
The mission of the institute is to conduct socially useful activities in the field of intellectual property protection, using its personal and property components in support of intellectual property protection and alternative dispute resolution (ADR) in this area, especially through mediation, as well as educational, publishing and research activities. related.
The main activities of the institute are:

to provide SMEs, as well as colleges, universities, research and development organizations, inventors and other interested parties, with knowledge of intellectual property protection, know-how and trade secrets, as well as unfair competition and alternative dispute resolution ( ADR), in particular in the form of mediation;

provide lectures and publications in the field of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) and intellectual property protection, conduct research activities in cooperation with universities and research organizations in the field of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) and intellectual property protection;

gather knowledge support, in particular from the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), the European Patent Organization (EPO), the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) and the Industrial Property Office (IPO), in the field of intellectual property protection and related dispute resolution through mediation;

to provide those interested in the activities of a mediator with expertise in the field of intellectual property protection and to train them in the field of intellectual property in cooperation with WIPO, EPO, EUIPO and the IPO and to organize organizational and technical support for mediation in intellectual property protection through trained mediators.
The long-term goal of the institute is to support the protection of intellectual property in research and development, especially know-how and patents with commercial potential, as well as the use of patent information before formulating scientific, research and innovative intentions, to support thoughtful licensing policy and dispute resolution ownership in the form of ADR, especially through mediation, as all this can significantly help the Czech Republic to become one of Europe's innovation leaders and become a country of technological future.
The vision of the institute is to support development, research and innovation with the active involvement of IPO, WIPO, EUIPO, as well as other organizations and experts in order to raise awareness of intellectual property protection, especially among SMEs, in research, development, innovation and knowledge transfer and knowledge into the application sphere, including the possibilities of alternative dispute resolution related thereto.
