JUDr. Tomáš Dobřichovský, Ph.D. has been practicing law since 1999 and has been a member of the Czech Bar Association since 2003. He gained extensive, more than twenty years of experience in the field of intellectual property and related areas while practicing law in a leading Czech law firm, where he also led the intellectual property team, which was awarded the title of Law Firm of the Year in Intellectual Property three times. In 2016, he himself received the award of Lawyer of the Year in Intellectual Property.

He is also active in academia, since 2006 as an assistant professor at the Center for Intellectual Property Law of the Faculty of Law, Charles University (formerly the Institute of Copyright, Industrial Property and Competition Law, which he headed in 2016-2020).

He completed intensive study stays at the Institute of Information Law at the University of Amsterdam. He is also an arbitrator at the Arbitration Court at the Economic Chamber of the Czech Republic and the Agrarian Chamber of the Czech Republic. Since 2007, on the basis of appointment by the Ministry of Culture, he has provided mediator services in the field of collective management of copyright and related rights as an intermediary pursuant to Section 101 et seq. of the Copyright Act.

Tomáš Dobřichovský has also been engaged in extensive lecturing and publishing activities for a long time, especially in the field of intellectual property and labor law. He is the author or co-author of a number of professional publications, most recently, for example, the co-author of a current major commentary on the Copyright Act by a group of authors led by JUDr. I.
