Mgr. Alžběta Jurtíková graduated from the Faculty of Science of Masaryk University in Brno, specializing in biochemistry. She devoted herself to clinical research for several years, and in 1999-2000 she participated in a research project in the field of transplantology in the vascular biology group of the Haartman Institute of the University of Helsinki. She also worked in the field of foreign trade in connection with clinical laboratory diagnostics.

 

She has been involved in the protection of industrial property since 2004. She graduated from the Institute of Industrial Law Education at the Industrial Property Office in Prague and since 2008 has been practicing independently as a patent attorney registered in the Register of the Chamber of Patent Attorneys of the Czech Republic in the field of protection of rights to technical solutions and rights to designations with the authorization of an attorney for trademarks and industrial designs of the EU. For several years, she also worked as an in-house patent attorney at the Technology Transfer Department of the Brno University of Technology. She participated in internships and educational programs organized by the European Patent Academy at the European Patent Office.

 

In 2021, she completed the Mediation for Patent Agents course of the IP Mediation Center Prague, a registered institute, and in the same year also the Franchising School - course for IP mediators educational program. She continuously participates with interest in educational events and courses related to the development of communication skills and negotiation, mediation and alternative dispute resolution, especially in the field of intellectual property rights protection.
