RNDr. Kateřina Hartvichová

Patent law expert

RNDr. Kateřina Hartvichová graduated in chemistry from the Faculty of Science, Charles University. During and shortly after her studies, she worked as a specialist in researching new catalysts. Since 2003, she has been working in the field of industrial property, especially patents and utility models.

 

In 2005, she completed a specialization course in the field of industrial property protection at the Institute of Industrial Law Education at the Industrial Property Office. In 2006, she passed the Czech patent attorney exams and in 2012, the European patent attorney exams. In 2015-2016, she completed the CEIPI Course on Patent Litigation in Europe.

 

She works as a lecturer at the Institute of European Patent Attorneys (epi) and the International Centre for Intellectual Property Studies (CEIPI) at the University of Strasbourg. She is also a member of the epi Council and the epi Professional Education Committee for the Czech Republic.

 

She is also currently serving on the Quality Working Group of the Advisory Body of the European Patent Office. She is repeatedly listed as a recommended patent expert in the IAM Patent 1000 global ranking.
